What is "commissioned" art?
When you commission a painting or drawing you will work directly with Kirk
to establish exactly the painting or drawing you desire. Kirk can work from photographs that you provide or will arrange
a photo shoot if necessary. You are welcome to put as much or as little time and effort into the process as you
like. Kirk is avalable to go on location and to visit your home if necessary. In the end, you will get
a one-of-a-kind, beautiful work of art that was created especially for you. Please note, quality reference material
is crucial. Some photographs may not be right for basing a painting or drawing on. Clear, detailed, and well-focused
images are necessary.
How do I commission original art?

Why purchase original art?
Original art is both special and personal. It can say many things to many people. To some, owning
original art makes a statement about who they are or what they enjoy. To others, owning original art indicates style,
taste, class and success. A fine original painting or drawing can have great sentimental value and will be passed down
through your family for generations.
Although some of the pieces shown on this website are for sale, the main purpose for including them is to
demonstrate the skill, talent, and style of the artist and give the potential collector an idea of the quality that can be
expected when a piece is commissioned. By commissioning artwork, Kirk Timmons offers the unique opportunity to
request exactly the piece you want - not just those pieces that he has completed and offers for sale.
The sports paintings included in this website are of football, basketball, and baseball only.
However, Kirk has done paintings of other sports as well. Subject matter is NOT limited the sports included
in this website. Anything is possible. Kirk's only limitation is YOUR imagination.
How much will original art cost?
Original art can be expensive. Anything that is
customized or is "one-of-a-kind" is going to be more expensive than an easily reproduced image such as a photograph alone.
If you merely want photo-realism, go to a photographer. If you want ART, my prices are some
of the most reasonable you will find ANYWHERE for the level of skill and quality I can provide. In some cases,
orignial artwork by Kirk Timmons will cost less then going to a professional photographer. Most photographs, in terms

Partnerships & Possibilities
Kirk Timmons is also available to partner directly with interior designers, restaurant owners,
sports bar owners, athletes, parents of athletes, businesses, corporations, in addtion to individuals to commission
specific works of art to meet their needs. Some examples possible partnerships between Kirk and clients
